The Conor J. Casey Foundation

Supporting nonprofit organizations across Western New York that provide sustenance in its fullest sense: Not just meals, but the nourishment people need to thrive.

Our Mission

Feeding the Need

Founded in 2023 to honor Chef Conor Casey, who believed that every meal was an opportunity to celebrate life, the Conor J. Casey Foundation carries on his legacy of generosity and joy. Conor loved to “make it a feast,” filling tables with food, laughter, and community.

We support nonprofit organizations across Western New York that provide sustenance in its fullest sense: Not just meals, but the nourishment people need to thrive. This includes access to wholesome food, opportunities to learn about growing and preparing it, and the knowledge and resources to build self-sufficient, resilient communities.

By raising and distributing resources, sharing practical skills, and encouraging sustainable food practices, we help communities cultivate their own abundance, strengthen social connections, and reduce dependency.

Our goal is to nourish both bodies and communities, ensuring that everyone can experience the care, connection, and joy that Conor believed a good meal could bring. Through our work, we honor Conor’s enduring spirit: generosity, care, and above all, joy.

We inspire communities to share, support one another and, true to his motto, “make it a feast”… one meal, one garden, and one act of kindness at a time.

Food justice is community justice

Our work is to provide nourishment to those in need through more than just food. We believe access to nourishment is about more than food; it is about dignity, equity, and care. Our work supports those in need while building healthier, more connected communities.

What We Do

  • People gathered around a kitchen counter preparing food, with lemon slices, asparagus, and various ingredients on the table.

    We support learning

We direct donor contributions in support of organizations that teach basic cooking skills and sustainable cooking practices throughout Western New York. By helping people build confidence in the kitchen, we help them develop self-sufficiency and long-term food security.

    We fight hunger

We direct donor contributions to trusted Western New York nonprofit organizations already addressing hunger. By strengthening their operational capacity and reach, we help ensure resources are used effectively and communities receive sustained support.
